Beth + James | Saint Regis Winery

There’s so many reasons why I love Autumn and Winter weddings, and this wedding sure is one of them. The colours of the leaves, the red wine, the beautiful sunlight and clouds, the vines… it’s all so pretty.
It was one of those typical 4 seasons in one day on Beth & James’ wedding day. One minute the sun was shinning the next minute it was pouring rain. All Beth ever wanted was her garden ceremony, so we all had our fingers crossed the rain would blow over just to give us enough time. And that’s exactly what it did. You wouldn’t be able to tell from these ceremony photos that about 5 minutes earlier it was dark and stormy, but Beth had luck on her side and the sun came out until literally 2 minutes after the ceremony finished!
And she deserved every single bit of sun. These two are such a genuine, down to earth, funny couple. I met them at Saint Regis winery for a wine before the wedding day and I instantly fell in love with them and the venue! Such a relaxed, beautiful, intimate little place which just suited them to a tee.
I had so many favourite parts of this day it’s hard to pick just one, so I’ll let you know what they all were!
Favourite moment 1. Beth didn’t have bridesmaids, so it was just me, my camera and her Mum witnessing this beautiful moment of her putting her wedding dress on. (And I’m going to use the word ‘beautiful’ way too many times on this post because there is just so much of it.) Watching this moment between Beth and her Mum bought tears to my eyes.
Favourite moment 2. The moment Beth arrived at her ceremony and could see James standing there waiting for her. I think about 100 emotions ran through her at this point.
Favourite moment 3. You can always feel when there’s just so much love and happiness around two people getting married. It’s so beautiful to see two families becoming one and being so excited about it. The celebratory smiles and hugs were insanely big!
Favourite moment 4. The moment where the storm hit again, and we were starting to feel rain drops. But look at the size of Beth’s smile. Nothing could ruin this girls day. Nothing.
And so the party beings. And when I say party, I don’t use that word lightly. How could you not have had the best time, they had amazing music, some of the best food I’ve ever eaten at a wedding (big call I know) and some of the regions best wine. Oh and two legend people hosting it that just tied the knot.
Favourite moment 5. The speeches. My goodness. Heartfelt, romantic, and freakin hilarious. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much. James you take the cake for sure.
I am so glad you guys chose me to capture your day. What a perfect way to end my season on such a high. I hope I run into you both one day so we can share another pinot and tell me all of your adventures as a married couple xx
